Please read this disclaimer carefully before using Snap Loans Cash. It explains what our service is, what it is not, and the Louisiana rules that apply to the loans we help you find.
We are a connection service, not a lender
Snap Loans Cash does not lend money, make credit decisions, or charge you any fee. We are a loan-connection service that may match your request with third-party lenders licensed to operate in Louisiana. Any loan you receive comes from an independent lender, on that lender’s terms, which you should read in full before you accept.
Louisiana payday loan rules
Deferred presentment (payday) and small loans in Louisiana are governed by the Louisiana Deferred Presentment and Small Loan Act (La. R.S. 9:3578.1 et seq.). Under that law:
- The maximum amount you can borrow is $350.
- A lender may charge $20 per $100 borrowed plus a $10 documentation fee, and total fees cannot exceed $55 on loans of $220–$350.
- A loan term cannot exceed 30 days.
- Rollovers are not allowed. You must repay a loan in full before taking another; refinancing is only allowed after you pay the fees and 25% of the principal.
- Every contract must offer an extended payment plan of at least four substantially equal installments.
Cost example
A $300 loan repaid in 14 days with the maximum $55 in fees carries an APR of roughly 478%. Payday loans are short-term, high-cost credit and are not intended to meet long-term financial needs. Please consider lower-cost alternatives first.
Regulator and complaints
Louisiana payday lenders are licensed and regulated by the Louisiana Office of Financial Institutions (OFI). If you have a complaint about a lender, you can contact OFI directly. Rules on this page were verified on July 4, 2026 and may change; always confirm current terms with your lender and the regulator.
